Mathematical Modeling and Experimental Study of model of inverse heat conduction problem was built and the laminar cooling process was studied by experiment. The main works included data acquisition, inverse heat conduction problem model and verification of algorithms. The research results show that the rate of cooling is proportional to the cooling water flow, and the effect of cooling On-Line Optimization of Coiling Temperature Control on Run Cooling strategies, elements tracking, and dynamic correction are employed in the control system. In addition, the model optimization and soft-measure method are also introduced in the study. Rolling tests with various grades of steel covering a wide range of thickness show that the developed model can improve the accuracy of coiling temperature control to obtain an uniform mechanical properties.
